I’ve never been a big fan of multiple choice rating systems. How are 3 stars different than 4 stars for a Yelp restaurant or an Amazon book?  And it looks like Google isn’t going to buck the trend with their new ratings for local businesses. What kind of users tend to dissect their experiences between “excellent” vs “very good”?  The anal ones who tend to be the loudest within Internet communities, that’s who.
