Frank Lloyd Write once designed a dog house for a boy who wrote him (twice). Keeping this in the memory box - stay creative, stay humble, and stay persistent.
Dear Mr Wright
I wrote you June 19, 1956 about designing my dog Eddie a dog house to go with the house you designed for my dad. You told me to write you again in November so I ask you again, could you design me a dog house.
Respectfully yours,
Jim Berger

Penn Station, Interior, Manhattan. (by New York Public Library)
Was having dinner last night and the conversation turned to urban growth, preservation and skyscrapers and I was chortled at for having never seen the inside of the old Penn Station. Who’s laughing now? Thanks Tumblr! (Also did not know that saving the station was one of Jackie O’s thing in the 60s. Oh, and it’s so very sad what’s there now versus the Beaux Arts structure before.
